Location
This tour showcases the Historic Houses and their architectural and cultural significance. Guests will learn about Charles Deering’s life, the Estate’s connection to South Florida’s Indigenous cultures, and its role in Miami’s history.
Beginning on Monday, April 28, 2025, guests can enjoy daily guided tours at 11:30 a.m. (exterior of Stone House & interior of Richmond Cottage) to journey through the pre-history of the site, learn about early settlers, and uncover the story of Charles Deering. Discover how the Stone House’s Mediterranean Revival architecture later inspired Phineas Paist in designing Coral Gables. There are many exciting stories to explore at Deering Estate.
As of Monday, April 28, 2025, the Stone House is closed to the public in preparation for its renovation and restoration. These efforts will help preserve the building’s unique heritage & architectural facets. While the work is underway, the rest of the Estate remains OPEN for exploration!
The Guided Museum Tour is no additional charge after paying the general admission, $18 for adults (ages 15+) & $10 for children (ages 4-14), and free for Foundation Members (please show your membership card & I.D. at the Ticket Booth on the day of your visit). All guests, including Deering Estate Foundation Members, are required to sign-up at the Main Gate before the tour begins in order to ensure their space. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first- serve basis.
