Nature Preserve Tours – Daily
Join our naturalist staff for a hike through the Deering Estate’s protected natural areas. Along the way, learn about native plants and animals and the Cutler Burial Mound. Staff Guided Nature Preserve Tour are offered once daily at 12:30pm, October through May. All guests, including Deering Estate Foundation Members, are required to sign-up at the Main Gate before the tour begins in order to ensure their space. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first- serve basis.
The Nature Preserve Tour is no additional charge after paying the general admission, $18 for adults (ages 15+) & $10 for children (ages 4-14), and free for Foundation Members (please show your membership card & I.D. at the Ticket Booth on the day of your visit).
Guests are encouraged to document their flora & fauna findings on the iNaturalist app. (Available on Google Play and App Store). Mosquitos & bugs are very common, please come prepared (bug spray/lotion, long sleeve shirts, & long pants are suggested).
