Celebrate a cherished Deering Estate holiday tradition at Story Time & Photos with Santa! Bring the whole family for a magical holiday experience filled with festive stories, special memories, and the wonder of the season.

Children can enjoy enchanting story time with Santa’s elves and capture a memorable holiday photo with Santa himself. Surrounded by the historic charm of Deering Estate and the beautiful backdrop of Biscayne Bay, this beloved seasonal tradition is the perfect opportunity to create lasting holiday memories with family and friends.

Please note: Photos with Santa are available for an additional fee. A photo purchase is required to meet Santa. Photo reservations and additional details will be announced as they become available.

Story Time & Photos with Santa takes place as part of Deering Estate Tides & Tidings: Holiday by the Bay, a festive holiday celebration featuring a Holiday Market, seasonal treats, holiday crafts, lawn games, and family-friendly scavenger hunts throughout the Estate.

Make this holiday season extra special with a visit to Deering Estate, where treasured traditions and new memories come together by the bay!

Event Details: 

• Date: Saturday, December 5, 2026
• Photos with Santa: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Location: Deering Estate Main Grounds and Richmond Cottage
• Santa Photos: Additional fee applies. A photo purchase is required to meet Santa.
• Additional Activities: Enjoy the full Tides & Tidings: Holiday by the Bay celebration from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Please note that the Stone House is closed to the public for renovation and restoration. These efforts will help preserve the building’s unique heritage & architectural facets. While the work is underway, the rest of the Estate remains OPEN for exploration.

COST: General Admission is $18 for adults and $10 for children (ages 4-14), plus tax. Free General Admission for Deering Estate Foundation members and children under 4 years old. Holiday photo packages are available for an additional fee.

Non-Member General Admission: can be purchased online or on-site at the Main Gate Ticket Booth the morning of the event. Advance tickets are recommended.
Foundation Members General Admission: please show your membership card & I.D. at the Main Gate Ticket Booth the morning of the event.
