The “Moonlight & Music” Valentine’s Day Concert at the Deering Estate offers couples and friends the opportunity to celebrate their love at an outdoor concert under the stars on Friday evening, February 14, 2025.
Guests can pack a picnic, preorder food or purchase food when they arrive, then settle into their lawn chair or cozy up on a blanket and enjoy the sounds of this year’s featured artist Claudia Lopez & Deja. This concert will be a night to be remembered and experienced among loved ones and friends!
The concert starts at 8 p.m. There are four entry times to choose from when purchasing tickets: 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. & 7 p.m. Please arrive at your assigned gate between the time listed on your ticket and 30 minutes after. (Example: If your ticket is for 5:30 p.m. you may enter between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.).
Pre-ordered food from Joanna’s Marketplace will be available for pick up at the concert. Please call the catering department at 305-661-5777 to place your order by February 11th at 3 p.m. Limited refreshments and food will be available for purchase at the concert.
Guests are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs and small picnic baskets. Please note that the following items are not permitted: pets, large coolers, open flames/candles, balloons and pop-up tents. Please note that the Museums are closed during this event.
While this concert is not designed for children entertainment, they are welcome to attend with a paid ticket. Children ages 3 and under do not require a ticket.

Guests can choose General Admission or Private Balcony seating:
General Admission
General admission open seating is available on the front lawn, in front of the two Historic House Museums, in the Royal Palm Grove and on the Boat Basin Jetties. General admission tickets are $70 per person, plus tax.
General Admission (Deering Estate Foundation Members)
Deering Estate Foundation Members receive a 10% discount on general admission tickets, with the members-only promo code.
Please note that online sales have ended. Member & non-member tickets can be purchased at the gate. Tickets are non-refundable, rain or shine.
Private Balcony Seating
Enjoy a private seating area for your closest family and friends on one of the Historic Stone House Balconies. Balconies are available to reserve for 2-8 people and will include a high-top table(s) with seating and private restroom access for balcony ticket holders only, an ADA accessible elevator is available. Includes 2 reserved parking spaces located in the parking lot located on the corner of 72 Ave. and 168 Street, dessert and 1 complimentary bottle of prosecco per balcony provided by the Deering Estate Foundation. Pack a picnic, purchase food when you arrive from an onsite food vendor, or pre-order a picnic from Joanna’s Marketplace and they will deliver it to your balcony by request.
Private balconies range from $690 to $2,185. Additional guests for private balcony seating is $230 per person, plus tax.
1st Floor Southeast Terrace (by Library) – $690, plus tax
- Includes private terrace access & concert admission for 2 attendees (maximum).
- Area does not have good visibility at regular chair height. It is recommended for those who need wheelchair access to reserve a 2nd floor area. Partially Screened porch.

- Includes access for 6 guests with the ability to add on 2 additional guests for a total of 8 guests.

In recent years Deering has worked with outside ticketing platforms for events such as the “Moonlight and Music” Valentine’s Day concert. These platforms have fees on top of the ticket price. In 2020 Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces moved to a new ticketing platform, Parklink, which supports event ticketing, without those additional fees. Like most ticketing platforms, you will need to create an account the first time. After creating your account you will be able to purchase tickets and register for programs at Deering and other Miami-Dade County Parks. Food & Drinks
Mateo’s Pizza, Lobsta Rolls, Crepe Maker and, Coffee Vibes food trucks, as well as a bar, with wine sold by the bottle, benefitting the Deering Estate Foundation, will be onsite at the event to purchase food and beverages. Guests are also welcome to bring in small picnic baskets (20 x 20 or smaller), or can pre-order from Joanna’s Marketplace to pick up onsite at the concert.

About the Artists
Claudia Lopez
Claudia Lopez is a Cuban-American, singer and songwriter and Producer. She was born in Miami Florida into a musical family. She received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts to study contemporary voice. After returning to Miami and receiving her associates degree, Claudia Lopez was accepted to University of Miami Frost School of Music’s Jazz Vocal Program where she finished her bachelor’s degree.
Claudia is a versatile musician who can perform a large variety of musical styles from Pop/R&B, Musical Theatre, Jazz and Blues, to Salsa and Latin-Jazz. Her writing styles usually fall within the Pop/R&B genre however, you can feel the influence of her Latin roots and her jazz education.
Deja
Born and raised in West New York, NJ, and now based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Deja is a dynamic singer, songwriter, and vocal producer whose versatility spans genres like pop, rock, and R&B. Known for her powerhouse vocal chops and her ability to deliver soft, intimate performances, Deja captivates audiences whether she’s commanding an arena or serenading a small crowd.
Deja has shared the stage with legendary acts like Bon Jovi, Jake Miller, and Lenny Kravitz, showcasing her ability to connect with diverse audiences. In 2024, she served as a backing vocalist for Carin León at the Latin Grammys.
A multi-talented performer, Deja also accompanies herself on guitar, bringing an authentic, heartfelt dimension to her live sets. Whether she’s delivering anthemic rock ballads or soulful acoustic renditions, Deja’s artistry leaves a lasting impression.
Parking
FREE Parking is available in a grass parking lot located on the corner of SW 164 St. and SW 72 Ave as well as along SW 72 Ave between SW 168 Street and 156 Street. Additional overflow parking is available at Deering Point (17350 Old Cutler Road, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157) with a FREE shuttle. ADA Parking is located in the parking lot on the corner of 72 Ave. and 168 Street. Please do not park in front of our neighbor’s homes or on the side streets.
Drop-off or ride share is available in the parking lot on the corner of 72 Ave. and 168 Street. Guests can then walk from there to the entrance gate on 72 Ave. There will be one way traffic only on 72 Ave., no u-turns. Please do not stop in the middle of the street.
