Plein Air Painting Meet Ups

Join Artist-in-Residence Andres Cabrera-Garcia for a weekly meetup at the Estate to paint en plein air. Cabrera-Garcia will provide multiple demonstrations as well as personal coaching to help you use observational skills to portray the variety of cultural and natural resources on the Estate, such as historic structures, landscapes, geologic features, and plant and animal life. He will share tips about equipment, how to approach working in the field, and how to select a spot.

EVENT DETAILS

• 10am – 1pm
• Age range: 18+
• Meets weekly on Fridays at the Boat Basin
• Bring your own materials of choice
• All skill levels welcomed

COST: $5 per session, per person

Includes:

• General Admission to the Estate for the day
• Three hours of coached painting
• Guided nature walk at 12:30pm
