Herp Tour
Join a Deering Estate naturalist on a guided “Herp Tour” through the Estate’s restricted natural areas. Explore a variety of unique habitats while learning about South Florida’s native reptiles and amphibians and the important roles they play in both wild and urban ecosystems.
Upon arriving for your event please meet our staff at the Visitor Center.
Cost: $20 per person. Spaces are limited!

Age Requirements: This program is open to adults (18+) and youth ages 4–17 accompanied by a registered parent or guardian. Registration is available online through Park Link.
Know Before You Go: Participants should wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for hiking. Please bring water, snacks, and insect repellent, as mosquitoes are common. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Guests are also encouraged to document their flora and fauna observations using the iNaturalist app. (Available on Google Play and App Store).
Please meet at the Visitor Center and arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled program start time. Tours begin promptly as scheduled. Late arrivals will be considered no-shows and will not be permitted to participate. Refunds, transfers, or credits will NOT be issued for missed programs.
