Pump House
Free with RSVP on Eventbrite
Join local fiber artist and fashion designer Pangea Kali Virga for a Cyanotype Workshop at the Deering Estate. Learn how to create your own prints using cyanotypes on fabric and paper. Make your own art prints, patches, and cards to take home with plants and feathers harvested at the Deering Estate, upcycled lace, and other materials. This workshop is welcome to all ages with all materials being provided. The Cyanotype Workshop corresponds with Pangea’s installation All Material Comes From The Earth, currently on view as part of the Deering Contemporary exhibition Interlocking Dimensions: Eco-Art. This three-part workshop series explores various ways we can integrate plants into style, textiles, and fashion.
