Deering Estate’s Artist-in-Residence program thrives off the relationship between the art world and the natural environment. Artists have played pivotal roles in fueling worldwide environmental research and conservation efforts. The Deering Estate bridges these two outwardly different fields of study, allowing artists to use the resources available at the Deering Estate to champion modern methods of creation, advocacy and environmental preservation.
