Walking through the tropical hardwood hammock at dusk brings a new sense of adventure to the Deering Estate’s natural areas. Join a naturalist for a guided hike to Cutler Creek, listen for great horned and eastern screech-owls, and discover how the forest comes alive after dark. After the hike, gather beneath the stars around a crackling fire.

Upon arriving for your Event/Program, please meet our staff at the Main Gate located on SW 72nd Avenue near SW 167 Street.

Cost: $25 per person. Spaces are limited!

Age Requirements: This program is open to adults (18+) and youth ages 4–17 accompanied by a registered parent or guardian. Registration is available online through Park Link.

Know Before You Go: Participants should wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for hiking. Please bring water, snacks, and insect repellent, as mosquitoes are common. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Guests are also encouraged to bring a flashlight and s’mores.

Upon arriving for your Event/Program, please meet our staff at the Main Gate located on SW 72nd Avenue near SW 167 Street. Street parking is available near the Main Gate or you may park in the Visitor Center parking lot located on SW 168 Street near 72nd Avenue. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled program start time. Tours begin promptly as scheduled. Late arrivals will be considered no-shows and will not be permitted to participate. Refunds, transfers, or credits will NOT be issued for missed programs.
