Valentines Day Concert – Sold Out!

Couples and friends can celebrate their love at an outdoor concert under the stars at the Deering Estate on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Pack a picnic and settle into your lawn chair or cozy up on a blanket and enjoy the sounds of this year’s featured artist, Miami jazz singer Melinda Rose with an opening performance by Leesa Richards.

You can delight your Valentine with a decadent dinner catered by Joanna’s Marketplace and don’t forget to order a divine dessert! Pre-ordered picnic baskets will be available for pick up at the concert. Please call the catering department at 305-661-5777 to place your order. Orders must be placed by Friday, February 12th at 3 p.m. Joanna’s menu can be viewed here.  Limited refreshments and food will be available for purchase at the concert from Cuban GuysMateos Pizza (menu here), and Big Dough Cookies. The Deering Estate Foundation will be hosting a bar selling beer, wine and prosecco.

Guests can choose Lawn Box, General Admission, or Stone House Private Balcony SOLD OUT!  

Lawn Box: The Lawn Boxes feature your own viewing area on the main lawn. Each socially-distanced Lawn Box is a section that holds a maximum of 4 people. If you have a larger group, you can reserve two Lawn Boxes side-by-side. COST: Lawn Boxes are $240, plus tax & fees (maximum of 4 people per Lawn Box).  SOLD OUT! 

General Admission: General Admission seating is available on the North Side of the Front Lawn, in front of the two Historic House Museums, in the Royal Palm Grove and on the Boat Basin Jetties. Guests must practice social distancing from other groups and cannot gather in groups larger than 10 people. COST: General admission tickets are $60 per person, plus tax & fees.  SOLD OUT! 

Stone House Private Balcony: You can enjoy a private seating area for your closest family and friends on one of the Historic Stone House Balconies. Both 1st and 2nd floor areas are available to reserve for 4 – 8 people and will include a high-top table(s) with seating and private restroom access for balcony ticket holders only. Pre-order a picnic from Joanna’s Marketplace for an additional fee and let them know you would like it to be delivered to your balcony. COST: Private balcony options ranges from $1,000 – $1,795. SOLD OUT!

Limited tickets are available and must be purchased online in advance. With our online timed ticketing system, visitors are able to reserve their entry time without having to worry about long admission lines, while supporting safer distances between visitors. When purchasing tickets, please select your entry time (between 5:30 pm – 7 pm). Please arrive at your assigned gate between the time listed on your ticket and 20 minutes after.  Museums are closed during this event. No sales/no tickets sold at the gate.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Rain or shine event. SOLD OUT!  

Guests must practice social distancing, wear face coverings (ages 2 and up), and are not allowed to gather in groups larger than 10 people. Sanitation stations are available throughout the event. You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you must remain stationary and maintain physical distancing.

The following items are prohibited (including but not limited to): drones, balloons, pets, kites, bikes, balls, frisbees, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, skates, BBQ’s/barbecues, grills, candles/open flame, coolers larger than 20″ x 20″, remote control boats / cars.

About the featured artist: Melinda Rose

Miami jazz singer that participated on last year’s season of The Voice. She appeared on the Kelly Clarkson show, has played the Litchfield Jazz Fest in CT, the palladium in Indiana in front of 1.6K ppl, won many jazz competitions including The American Traditions Competition for Jazz. She recently opened for Emily Estefan for the Coconut Grove Arts Festival.

About the opening artist: Lessa Richards

Originally a dancer with little formal musical training, Leesa Richards became a professional singer performing “Somewhere” from West Side Story in her first international gig in Monte Carlo. She has toured as a dancer with Whitney Houston and sang with the Bee Gees on tour. After moving to Miami, Richards immersed in the Latin music scene thanks to tours with Julio Iglesias, Jon Secada, and Gloria Estefan. She has recorded background vocals for Barbra Streisand and Lenny Kravitz and has written and produced her own album, Mother’s Child. She advocates for the rights of music creators and is a former board member for the Florida Chapter of the Grammy Organization.

Will food/drink be available for purchase? Can I bring in outside food/beverage? Guests are welcome to bring in small picnic baskets or can pre order picnics from Joanna’s Marketplace to pick up onsite at the concert when they arrive. To order from Joanna’s you can contact them at 305-661-5777. Limited refreshments and food will be available for purchase day of from Cuban Guys Food Truck, Mateos Pizza Food Truck (menu here), and Big Dough Cookies and the Deering Estate Foundation will be hosting a bar selling beer, wine and prosecco.

What time can I enter the concert?  Please arrive at your assigned gate between the time listed on your ticket and 20 minutes after. (Example: If your ticket is for 5:30 PM you may enter between 5:30PM and 5:50PM).

 How many people can sit in each lawn box? Each socially-distanced Lawn Box is a section of lawn that holds a maximum of 4 people. If you have a larger group you can reserve two Lawn Boxes side-by-side.

 What is included in Stone House Private Balcony Seating? Each private balcony is located off one of the Historical rooms of the Stone House. High-top table(s) with seating will be provided along with restroom access in the Stone House for balcony ticket holders only. You can Pre-order a picnic from Joanna’s Marketplace for an additional fee and they will deliver it to your balcony by request.

Can I Bring my child(ren)? While this concert is not designed for children entertainment they are welcome to attend. Children ages 3 and under do not require a ticket.

What spaces are available for General Admission? What can I / can’t I bring with me? Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and small picnic baskets. Please note that the following items are not permitted: pets, large coolers, open flames/candles,  balloons, pop-up tents. Coolers smaller than 20″ x 20″ are permitted.

Where can I park? FREE Parking is available in a grass parking lot located on the corner of SW 164 St. and SW 72 Ave as well as along SW 72 Ave between SW 168 street and 156 street. ADA Parking is located in the parking lot on the corner of 72 ave and 168 street.

What precautions are being taken for COVID-19?

  • With our online timed ticketing, guests can reserve their entry time without having to worry about long admission lines, while supporting safer distances between visitors. No tickets will be sold at the gate.
  •  To expand the social distancing guests will be assigned a gate to enter and exit through. Gate A is located on the corner on SW 72 Ave and 168 Street. Gate B is located on the corner of SW 72 Ave and 167 street.
  • Guests must practice social distancing, for guests who would like to have their socially distanced seating area reserved they can reserve a Lawn Box for up to 4 people. Groups larger than 10 people are not allowed.
  • All guests (ages 2 and up) must wear face coverings.  You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you should remain stationary and maintain physical distancing.
  • Sanitation stations are available throughout the event.
