June 15, 2019 – Mindful Full Moon Yoga with Peter -The Yoga Warrior
Peter (a.k.a. The Yoga Warrior) teaches to share the transformational wisdom, philosophy, science and art of yoga, meditation and mindfulness.
What makes his teaching unique is that he applies mindfulness and the Yoga Sutra, the guidelines for living a meaningful and purposeful life, in a form that is useful and accessible. The class will raise the awareness of being in the present moment mind, body, heart, and spirit. “I believe connecting the whole being heightens the awareness and consciousness of each participant.” Practitioners will leave imbued with a greater sense of well-being, a more moment-to-moment presentness, a greater connectedness to being whole and to nature, and with radiance, blessed by the divine energy of the full moon.
Peter, who has been teaching for over 10 years, received a 200-hour yoga teacher certification from 90-year-old June Blank of the Yoga Research Foundation. He is also certified to teach Pilates and is a Qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Teacher. He also has an active private practice as a yoga therapist and yoga-life-coach. He has studied various forms/traditions of yoga (Hatha, Ashtanga, Anusara, Iyengar, Vinyasa, et. al), but it is his ongoing independent study and inner awareness that fuels his continuing evolution as a teacher and practitioner. Some little known facts about Peter are that he is an Ivy-League educated attorney and MBA graduate, has an LLM in Human Rights degree, once worked as an international tax attorney for Fortune 100 companies, and is a former intercollegiate athlete, triathlete, Aikido, and Tai Chi practitioner. Other venues where Peter teaches yoga include the UM Wellness Center, Miami Cancer Institute and Doral Isles.
The cost is $20 per session. Recommended for beginning and intermediate participants, ages 16 & older.
