Discover science, conservation, art, and much more through nature based recreational activities in our [email protected] series offered one Saturday each month from 10am -1pm. Ages: 6-14. Please note that this is a drop off program. Campers must practice social distancing and wear face coverings. Please review the latest safety guidelines prior to visiting. Drop off & Pickup are located at the Visitor Center.

December 12- Register Here
Project Pineland- Learn about the importance of protecting nature, endangered habitats, and the species that live there. Activities will include exploring our endangered Pine Rocklands habitat and an owl pellet dissection.
January 9- Register Here
Out of the Blue- Explore the wildlife in our endangered and protected mangrove swamp. They will learn about the role this habitat plays in shaping South Florida’s ecosystem. Activities include a muddy hike through our mangrove for a coastal cleanup and a coastal erosion experiment.

In the Canopy- Navigate through our Hardwood Hammock habitat; hiking to find animals, plants, and evidence of our historic Native American inhabitants. Activities include hiking, creating an ethnobotany guide, and a mock archaeology demonstration.

The Great Blue- Learn about the unique creatures found within our oceans. Activities will include a squid dissection, sea star dissection, and learn how to fish.

Nature by Design- To celebrate Earth Day, put your environmental engineering skills to the test as you design innovative solutions to help protect nature’s beneficial ecosystems and lower human impact on the environment. Activities will include renewable energy experiments and a muddy coastal cleanup.

Wild Within- Spend the day learning about South Florida’s biodiversity of animals, their behaviors and adaptations that help them to survive. Activities include an animal encounter and anole survey.
