Mothers Day at Deering Estate

The Deering Estate is the perfect setting to celebrate Mother’s Day! Bring the whole family to picnic and play or take a Bay Cruise on Biscayne Bay.

Mothers Day Brunch: Bring your own picnic, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. General Admission: $15 for adults (ages 15+) & $7 for children (ages 4-14). Park General Admission is free for Deering Estate Foundation Members and children under 4 years old. Non-Members can purchase General Admission tickets here. (Members do not need to reserve General Admission; please show your membership card at the Ticket Booth, 10am-4pm).

Treat mom to a day out that she deserves! Bring a picnic and enjoy a relaxing day outdoors among the Royal Palm trees overlooking the quiet waters of Biscayne Bay. Guests can also enjoy a guided Nature Preserve at 12:30 p.m. and the Garden Exhibition featuring new work by Gustavo Matamoros (Deering Estate Artist-in-Residence, 2024) in collaboration with Robert Thiele. The exhibition consists of standalone sculptures and sound integrated into the natural ambiance and furnishings of The Garden Room inside the Richmond Cottage.

Mothers Day Bay Cruise: Enjoy a relaxing cruise on Biscayne Bay that departs from Deering Estate on the Pelican Skipper, a comfortable riding 45 foot Corinthian catamaran. Enjoy a glass of complimentary champagne (ages 21+) as you disembark and explore the Deering Estate grounds. The vessel complies with Coast Guard Regulations and is ADA accessible.  Cruise Cost: $50 per person (members & non-members). Choose from two cruise times: Morning (11 am – 1 pm) or Afternoon (2 pm – 4 pm).  Spaces are limited! Cruise ticket price includes general admission to the Estate during regular Estate hours (10AM to 4PM) the same day of your cruise. Bugs & mosquitos are very common throughout the year, please come prepared (mosquito spray/lotion, long sleeve shirts, & long pants are suggested). This cruise program is for adults and youth ages 4+.  Please arrive to the Deering Estate at least 30 minutes prior to cruise departure time. Initial check-in is at the Main Gate & again when boarding the vessel.  Tours will depart on time;  the tour cannot be held for late arriving guests.
